Instructional Technology
The OAISD Instructional Technologist, Anne Thorp, Ph.D. guides and coaches teachers and students through collaborative exploration, creation, design, inquiry, and connections in learning. Striving to effectively integrate no tech, low tech, and high tech device usage to achieve increased engagement and learning success through meeting the multiple needs of learners is built into every lesson. Incorporating Computer Science, STEM Principles, and 21st Century Skills are key elements to successfully integrating technology teaching and learning in the classroom.
Services include:
- Shoulder-to-shoulder teaching
- Model teaching
- Face-to-face and virtual coaching for individuals and teams
- Lesson planning to enhance/improve integration
- Training in the effective use of technology tools available in the district and/or materials borrowed from the REMC 7 Lending Library
