Welding

Students taking Welding learn the basic methods of welding. Design, layout, cutting and fabricating of metals, and identification of properties of metals and alloys are also studied. In addition, students learn fluxcore arc welding and plasma arc cutting.
Students gain practical experience in the welding lab learning Oxy-Acetylene and cutting, along with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc cutting, fluxcore welding, and some blueprint and welding symbols.
