Students in the Agriculture & Animal Science program work in the classroom, barn and greenhouse learning about the agriscience industry and technology changes which are improving agricultural products. Areas of study include sustainable agriculture, horticulture, and greenhouse systems as well as animal anatomy/physiology, nutrition, reproduction, and health.
Students will have the opportunity to be a part of the National FFA organization, which provides opportunities to raise animals, compete in contests and gain leadership experience. In addition, it provides individualized study for skills contests, broilers, and more. FFA is It is one of the three components of agricultural education.
Upon completion of the program, students will have gained a basic awareness of agriculture and animal science and will have learned how the diversity of product in agriculture leads to future opportunities in the field.
