Health Careers/Surgical Tech

This is an intro course which offers training in surgical technology, as well as basic healthcare principles. Surgical technologists are medical professionals who specialize in preparing the operating room and assisting surgeons during surgeries. 

This program is new for the 2024-25 school year and will be taught by a Surgical Technician from a local hospital. 

Students will learn surgical instrumentation, a variety of surgical procedures, and human anatomy.
